Young Africa Change Agents Forum (YACAF)

"NEXTGEN AFRICA TALK"

Background

The Young Africa Change Agents Forum (YACAF) is a strategic network of Africa’s NEXTGEN, initiated by the Africa Future Leaders Institute of Global Affairs (AFLIGA), to cultivate a dynamic forum of emerging creative and dynamic young leaders across all 55-member states of Africa, in a leadership and governance conversation that shapes the future of Africa in the emerging new world order.

YACAF seeks to develop young innovators, civic actors, and problem-solvers who are well equipped with requisite skills and diplomatic tools to be at Africa’s leadership and governance table to drive transformation at the community, national, and continental levels.

By complementing the work of governments, development partners and other Africa-focused development institutions, YACAF aims to nurture Africa’s leadership pipeline to advance sustainable peace, justice, and development to enable human security to take root on the continent.

It also aims at deepening efforts to accelerate, reinforce and ensure service delivery to African citizenry towards achieving the goals of AU’s Agenda 2063, the Africa We Want and the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

YACAF is an initiative that believes that young people in Africa can help safeguard democracy and governance institutions – if they are supported and empowered to be at the leadership and governance table.
